DILG Secretary and former Governor Jonvic Remulla joined the flag-raising ceremony of Cavite provincial government where he officiated the oath taking of Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino and formally handed over the flag of the province symbolizing the transition of authority and responsibilities to the new chief executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his message, he reflected on the twenty-nine years of service [he] rendered for the province from the time when he was a young newbie board member up to his recent position as Governor. He said that he has made a lot of realizations over the years and he accepted the call to serve not only the province but the entire county in support of the President\u2019s development agenda, bringing with him the same energy that he gave when he led the province. In a poignant statement, he said \u201cCavite is my home, you are my people\u201d, and assured the current and future administration of his full support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Governor Tolentino humbly accepted the turnover of responsibilities and guaranteed that she will continue to uphold the high standard of governance and the development programs started by SILG Remulla, together with the new Vice Governor Shernan Jaro. She asked for the PGC employees and heads confidence, trust and full cooperation in her leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flag-raising ceremony was attended by members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, PGC administrator, department heads and employees, and DILG-Cavite headed by Engr. Danilo Nobleza. (FB\/page-E. Reyes)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
