On January 23-24,2025 the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB)- Laboratory Accreditation Division team composed of Ms. Marieson A. Trinidad, as the leader together with its team member\/ technical assessors Mr. Joe Mar Balbuena for Biological testing and Mr. Aljon Bagting for Chemical testing, conducted the 1st Surveillance Visit (SV) of DOST- Cavite Water and Wastewater Testing Laboratory (CWWTL). The objective of the assessment is to ensure the continuous compliance of CWWTL to the requirements of ISO\/IEC 17025:2017, PAB Supplementary Requirements, Guidance Document, and the implemented laboratory quality management system. The surveillance visit ensures that the laboratory consistently maintains its high standards of quality based on regulatory and international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) formerly the Philippine Accreditation Office is the national accreditation body of the Philippines and the central body to accredit inspection, testing, and certifying bodies and other bodies offering conformity assessment services in accordance with Executive Order 802.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the two-day audit, it was concluded that the existing signatories, namely Ms. Anna Marie S. Daigan and Ms. Joan Mae A. Aure for Biological testing and Ms. Verjo Angelie M. Sisante and Thea Mary Joyce M. Diloy for Chemical testing are \ud835\udc2c\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc25\ud835\udc25 \ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc26\ud835\udc26\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc1d\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1d by the technical assessors. This conveys a formal demonstration of its competence, impartiality, and consistent operation in performing laboratory testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CWWTL is a service laboratory equipped to perform conventional and rapid tests on water and wastewater. It can determine the physical, chemical, and microbiological properties and quality of water and wastewater or effluents. The testing procedures are per international standard methods. It is also a Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)- Recognized Environmental Laboratory, a Department of Health (DOH)- Accredited Water Testing laboratory, and a Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) authorized to Operate a Chemical Laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
