A seminar on Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Food Safety Hazards was successfully conducted at the EARIST-Cavite Campus, aiming to enhance the knowledge and awareness of Food Technology students regarding industry standards and food safety measures. A total of 34 students from the Food Technology program actively participated in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The morning session was led by Ms. Verjo Angelie M. Sisante, who provided a comprehensive discussion on cGMP. She highlighted the importance of hygiene, sanitation, and proper handling of food products to ensure safety and quality. The session also covered regulatory requirements and industry best practices essential for food processing and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the afternoon, Ms. Joan Mae A. Aure delivered an insightful discussion on Food Safety Hazards. She emphasized different types of food hazards, including biological, chemical, and physical hazards, and how to prevent contamination in food production. The session also included real-world examples and case studies to help students understand the significance of food safety in various stages of food processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seminar concluded with an engaging discussion and interactive participation from students, reinforcing the critical role of food technologists in maintaining high standards in the food industry. This initiative reflects EARIST-Cavite Campus’ commitment to equipping future food technologists with essential competencies in food safety and manufacturing practices, ensuring their preparedness for real-world industry challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
