Imus City \u2014 July 28, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the calm Monday morning skies, the employees of the City Government of Imus<\/strong> gathered once again for their weekly flag ceremony<\/strong>, a routine event that this week became more meaningful for many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the program was the inspirational message delivered by Hon. Judge Wendy Reyes-Garcia<\/strong>, who shared her personal journey\u2014one marked by perseverance and challenges\u2014before becoming a full-fledged judge. Her story served as a powerful reminder that resilience, integrity, and hard work are essential not just in law, but in public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHer words reminded us to never lose sight of our values no matter how difficult the path gets,\u201d shared one city employee after the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond inspiration, the event also became a moment of recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imus City Mayor Alex “AA” L. Advincula<\/strong> was honored with a Plaque of Appreciation<\/strong> from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) CALABARZON<\/strong>, in recognition of his unwavering support for the welfare of persons deprived of liberty housed at the Imus City Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate recognition, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4-A<\/strong> commended the City Government of Imus for its strong partnership in the fight against illegal drugs\u2014affirming the city’s ongoing commitment to a safer and drug-free community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was guided by a solemn prayer led by Rev. Fr. Manny Villas<\/strong>, setting a reflective tone for the week. Program hosting was led by April Manabat<\/strong>, while the Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat<\/strong> was energetically led by Pia Lara<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events like these show that governance is not just about policies and planning\u2014it\u2019s about recognizing efforts, sharing stories, and reinforcing a shared sense of purpose among public servants and citizens alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
