Speaking at the 147th birth anniversary of President Manuel L. Quezon in Lucena City, Remulla revealed that the cost of firetruck procurement has been reduced from \u20b115 million to \u20b113 million per unit. He directed suppliers and the BFP\u2019s Bids and Awards Committee to eliminate contract padding, declaring, \u201cWalang tatanggap habang ako\u2019y Kalihim.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigations into recruitment and procurement practices are already underway, signaling a zero-tolerance approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking ahead, the Secretary announced the nationwide rollout of the Unified 911 emergency response system, with Quezon province among the priority areas. He stressed the need for more emergency vehicles and pledged to work with local governments to meet this demand. The initiative aims to improve public safety and emergency response times across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, Remulla praised Quezon province\u2019s progress, citing its insurgency-free status, infrastructure growth, and economic potential.
