The new segment is expected to further ease congestion and cut travel time between Bi\u00f1an, Laguna, and Gen. Trias, Cavite, to just 26 minutes from one (1) hour, further strengthening South Luzon\u2019s transport network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed to accommodate additional 6,000 motorists daily, Subsection 3 provides a faster alternative route for commuters and businesses by bypassing heavily congested local roads in Cavite\u2019s growing industrial and residential corridors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this milestone, the operational length of CALAX now spans 26 kilometers from the Mamplasan Entry in Bi\u00f1an, Laguna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire 44.6-kilometer CALAX project, will eventually link the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Mamplasan. The network features eight strategic interchanges: Laguna Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa\u2013Tagaytay, Silang East, Silang (Aguinaldo), Governor\u2019s Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once fully integrated with CAVITEX, the combined network is projected to serve up to 95,000 vehicles per day, acting as a regional backbone for trade and mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CALAX Subsection 3 (Governor\u2019s Drive Interchange to Aguinaldo Interchange stretch) will be free for all classes for one month. Motorists will only pay the existing toll fees for CALAX Subsections 4 to 8 (Mamplasan in Bi\u00f1an, Laguna to Silang (Aguinaldo) in Cavite.
