General Trias, Cavite \u2014 President Ferdinand \u201cBongbong\u201d Marcos Jr. once again underscored his administration\u2019s commitment to inclusive development during his third visit to General Trias, Cavite. The President led the pre-opening inspection of the CALAX \u2013 Governor\u2019s Drive Interchange, a vital infrastructure project expected to ease mobility and spur economic activity in the city and neighboring areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside this inspection, President Marcos Jr. launched socio-civic initiatives aimed at directly uplifting GenTrise\u00f1os. Under the Socio-Civic Program Fund (SCPF), five Presidential scholars per barangay will receive \u20b120,000 each, ensuring that education remains accessible to deserving students. Complementing this, the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) has begun distributing 10 kilograms of rice every two months to 18,000 beneficiaries, reinforcing the administration\u2019s drive toward food security and poverty alleviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla emphasized the importance of strong national-local partnerships in implementing these programs. \u201cThe success of these initiatives lies in the collaboration between the national government and our local leaders. We are ensuring that every barangay in General Trias truly benefits,\u201d Remulla said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Jonjon Ferrer expressed gratitude for the continued support from Malaca\u00f1ang, noting that this marks the third time President Marcos Jr. has visited the city. \u201cGeneral Trias is honored to be a recipient of these programs.
