Dasmariñas Unites for World AIDS Day: “My Health, My Right”
In a powerful show of solidarity and advocacy, the City of Dasmariñas joined the global observance of World AIDS Day at the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas Gymnasium. The event, themed “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right,” brought together local leaders, health advocates, students, and community members to reaffirm their commitment to ending HIV/AIDS and supporting those affected.
Mayor Jenny Barzaga led the city’s delegation, emphasizing the importance of inclusive healthcare and the protection of human rights. In her address, she stated, “Health is not a privilege—it is a right. Today, we stand together to ensure that every Dasmarineño has access to the care, support, and dignity they deserve.”
The celebration featured educational booths, free HIV testing, and testimonials from individuals living with HIV, aiming to break the stigma and promote awareness. Local organizations and youth groups also participated in interactive sessions and performances that highlighted the importance of compassion and community action.
Mayor Barzaga’s leadership continues to inspire proactive health initiatives in Dasmariñas, reinforcing the city’s commitment to public health and human rights. As the event concluded, the message was clear: Dasmariñas is moving #OnwardForwardCityofDasmariñas and #SulongNaSulongPaDasmariñas in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
