Cavite, Philippines — Caviteños welcomed a new initiative on Monday as Congressman Jolo Revilla officially launched the Libreng Sakay program, offering free transportation services across designated routes in the First District of Cavite. The project aims to ease the daily burden of commuting expenses for residents, providing much-needed relief amid rising costs of travel.
The opening day of the program was marked by strong community participation, with buses servicing two major routes:
– Bus Route No. 1: Jollibee Binakayan to SM Rosario (via Aguinaldo Highway Loop, vice versa)
– Bus Route No. 2: Jollibee Cavite City (Regada) to SM Rosario (via Noveleta–San Rafael, vice versa)
Trips are scheduled during peak hours, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the morning and 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the afternoon, ensuring accessibility for workers, students, and families.
Congressman Revilla emphasized that no government funds were used in the implementation of this initiative, underscoring his personal commitment to prioritize the welfare of Caviteños. “This is a simple yet meaningful way to show that Caviteños are always our priority. We want to provide comfort and support to our constituents in their daily journeys,” he said.
