2025 Gawad Galing GenTri Service Awards: “Haligi ng Karunungan, Husay, at Dangal”

GENERAL TRIAS, CAVITE — In a stirring tribute to the unwavering dedication of the city’s educators, the City Government of General Trias honored 230 outstanding teachers during the 2025 Gawad Galing GenTri Service Awards held under the theme “Haligi ng Karunungan, Husay, at Dangal.”

The ceremony recognized teachers who have rendered 15 to 40 years of service in shaping generations of GenTriseño learners. Also celebrated were educators who pursued higher learning through master’s and doctorate degrees—proof of their relentless commitment to excellence and professional growth.

Mayor Jonjon Ferrer, lauded the awardees as “pillars of transformation” in the city’s journey toward inclusive and quality education. “Ang tagumpay ng ating lungsod ay hindi magiging ganap kung wala ang mga gurong buong pusong naglilingkod. Kayo ang tunay na bayani ng GenTri,” he emphasized.

Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen echoed this sentiment, expressing deep gratitude for the educators’ sacrifices and resilience. “Sa bawat aral na inyong ibinabahagi, binubuo ninyo ang kinabukasan ng ating mga kabataan. Kayo ang ilaw at gabay ng ating komunidad,” he said.

The event also highlighted the city’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing the vital role of collaborative governance in uplifting the education sector. Through the #LetsJoinForces campaign, the local government continues to rally support for programs that empower teachers and enhance learning environments.

As the city moves forward, the legacy of these educators stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration—proof that with passion, perseverance, and partnership, the future of General Trias remains bright and promising.
