Provincial Government of Cavite and PGCEA Sign Collective Negotiation Agreement

In a significant step towards strengthening labor relations and enhancing the welfare of its employees, the Provincial Government of Cavite, led by Governor Jonvic Remulla, signed a Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) with the Provincial Government of Cavite Employees Association (PGCEA) on August 29, 2024, at the Office of the Provincial Governor.

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both the provincial government and PGCEA, headed by its President Michelle S. Osorio, together with the other officers, and Mr. Renato A. Abutan, who showed strong support for the landmark agreement.

The CNA is a product of mutual understanding and collaboration between the Provincial Government of Cavite and PGCEA. It outlines key provisions on employee benefits, rights, and responsibilities, aiming to create a more conducive work environment for all employees of the provincial government.

Ms. Osorio highlighted the significance of the agreement as a representation of the collective efforts to achieve a fair and just workplace for all employees. She expressed gratitude to Governor Remulla and the entire provincial government for recognizing the importance of the CNA and for the continuous support to the employees’ association.

The signing of the CNA is expected to bring about positive changes for the employees of the Provincial Government of Cavite, as it sets a precedent for future negotiations and collaborations aimed at improving labor relations and employee welfare.
