PGC celebrates Employees’ Month
The Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) proudly celebrated Employees’ Month this September with a series of enriching and engaging activities dedicated to enhancing the well-being and skills of its employees.
The month-long celebration kicked off with the Loyalty Awarding Ceremony on September 4, 2024, at Bayleaf Hotel in the City of Gen. Trias. The event honored PGC employees who have dedicated years of service to the province, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions.
On September 10, 2024, a Leadership Skills Training was conducted at the Ceremonial Hall, focusing on empowering government employees with the knowledge and tools needed for effective leadership in their respective roles. Following this, from September 11 to 13, 2024, a Basic Customer Service Skills Seminar was held to equip employees with essential skills in delivering top-tier public service.
A Pre-retirement Seminar and GSIS Orientation took place on September 12, 2024 at the Provincial Gymnasium, providing employees nearing retirement with valuable insights into managing their transition into retirement, alongside an orientation on their GSIS benefits.
The advocacy for gender equality was emphasized through the Men Opposed to Violence Against Women Everywhere (MOVE) seminar on September 13, 2024 at SP Session Hall, fostering a workplace culture of respect and inclusion.
Continuing the focus on employee welfare, an Ear Care Seminar was held on September 16, 2024 at Cavite Collaboration for Public Health Center, for Road Safety Division (RSD) staff. Hearing aids were also distributed to PGC employees in need, ensuring they are equipped with proper tools for both work and personal life.
On September 17, 2024 at the OPCDO Training Room, a Seminar on Beekeeping and its Management was introduced to PGC employees to the world of apiculture, highlighting its benefits both as a livelihood opportunity and an environmental initiative.
The celebration further extended its humanitarian efforts with a Mobile Blood Donation on September 18, 2024 at the Ceremonial Hall, encouraging employees to give back to the community by donating blood.
The Employees’ Month celebration culminated in a day of relaxation and fun. On September 27, 2024, a stress management activity through a Zumba Dance session energized the employees, followed by a PGC Employees’ Day where the traditional Palaro ng Lahi brought back classic Filipino games, fostering camaraderie and teamwork among staff members.
