Second Annual Treasurer’s Night in Cavite
In celebrating the excellence and remarkable achievements in treasury of local government units (LGUs) in Cavite, the Office of the Provincial Treasurer marked the Second Annual Treasurer’s Night at The Bayleaf Hotel in General Trias City, on November 28, 2024.
The gathering was attended by outstanding treasurers, budget officers and focal persons, who went the extra mile to sustain effective and efficient operations for the general public. Also, Amadeo Mayor Redel John Dionisio and General Emilio Aguinaldo Mayor Dennis Glean graced the event with their presence.
In her opening remarks, Provincial Treasurer Adelina Martal conveyed her warmest greetings to everyone for lending their time to join the celebration and sincerely thanked them for exerting effort all year round. Ms. Martal, then, coaxed them into staying dedicated and committed to their work for the upcoming years and urged them to aim for service excellence.
The highlight of the event was the awarding of plaque and cash incentive to recognize every LGU’s excellence and achievement. The awards were for the following categories: Electronic Statement on Receipt and Expenditures Submission for FY 2023; Continuous Remittance of the Real Property Tax Provincial Share for FY 2023 which was presented to the Cities of Bacoor, Carmona, Dasmariñas, General Trias, and Imus; and, Real Property Tax Collection Efficiency wherein six (6) Municipal Treasurer’s Offices were able to bag the award – Maragondon ranked 6th with 118.37%, Magallanes ranked 5th with 142.69%, General Emilio Aguinaldo ranked 4th with 148.84%, Alfonso in 3rd rank with 160.56%, Amadeo in 2nd Rank with 161.19%, and Naic on top garnering a total of 207.67% collection efficiency.
The event concluded with the closing remarks from Ms. Clara Gracia Cuasay, President of Cavite Province Association of Local Budget Officers, applauding the organizers and all the attendees for another successful Treasurer’s Night.— J. Reyes
