DOST Cavite, DOST-MIRDC visits Dicksaw Woodworks for Technical Consultation

On January 15, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Cavite partnered with the DOST-Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) to conduct a project visit and technical consultation at Dicksaw Woodworks and Furniture Trading, Magallanes, Cavite.

The visit aimed to assess the improvement and industrialization of the company’s pelletizing machine and dryer. DOST-Cavite staff, including Mr. Reniel Jan Alvarado (SRS II), Mr. Aaron Joniel Carandang (SRS II), and Mr. Mark Anthony Acidella (PTA VI), collaborated with DOST-MIRDC representatives Mr. Rey Mariposque (Senior SRS) and Mr. Adonis Marquez (SRS II) to provide technical insights and solutions.

During the consultation, both parties agreed to craft and submit a project proposal for potential funding under the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP). This initiative seeks to enhance the company’s operational efficiency and production capacity through technological advancements.

The proposed partnership underscores DOST’s commitment to supporting local enterprises by promoting innovation and sustainable growth through science and technology.
