Carmona City Named Best LGU Program Implementer for Senior Citizens in Cavite

CARMONA CITY, Cavite — The City of Carmona has earned the prestigious title of Best LGU Program Implementer for Senior Citizens in the Province of Cavite, a recognition awarded during the Provincial Elderly Week Celebration held on September 30 in Trece Martires City. The event was organized by the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer – Cavite.

This honor was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) and the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA), whose programs have consistently uplifted the lives of Carmona’s elderly residents. Their initiatives include regular health missions, livelihood support, wellness activities, and social engagement programs that promote dignity and active aging.

Mayor Dahlia A. Loyola, a staunch advocate for inclusive governance, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition. “This award reflects our unwavering commitment to serve our senior citizens with compassion, excellence, and respect. They are the pillars of our community, and we will continue to honor them through meaningful programs,” she stated.

Under Mayor Loyola’s leadership, Carmona has become a model city for elder care, integrating innovative and responsive services that address the evolving needs of the aging population. Her administration’s focus on people-centered development has earned praise across the province.

The city’s approach aligns with its guiding principle, “Bayan Muna, Lagi—Dapat Angat Lahat,” which emphasizes equitable progress and prioritizes the welfare of all sectors, especially the vulnerable and elderly. This philosophy continues to shape Carmona’s social programs and community initiatives.

City officials noted that the recognition is not just a milestone but a motivation to further enhance their services. “We are inspired to do more, knowing that our efforts make a real difference in the lives of our senior citizens,” said a representative from CSWDO.

With this achievement, Carmona City reaffirms its role as a compassionate and forward-thinking LGU—one that leads with heart, vision, and a deep respect for the wisdom and contributions of its senior citizens.
