DTI Cavite Conducts 2026 OTOP Next Gen Assessment, Consultation, and Triage Session
Trece Martires City, Cavite — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite, in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer, successfully conducted the first session of the 2026 OTOP Next Gen: Assessment, Consultation, and Triage (ACT) on May 13, 2026, at the Session Hall of the New Provincial Capitol, Trece Martires City.
The activity aimed to assess the current needs and business conditions of the 2026 OTOP beneficiaries and to provide them with appropriate technical assistance, mentoring, and government support services to further enhance their products and market readiness.
To address the concerns and development needs of participating MSMEs, representatives and consultants from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and Department of Science and Technology (DOST), along with the program’s hired designer, were invited to provide consultations and recommendations. These focused on key areas such as product development, packaging and labeling, food safety compliance, intellectual property protection, and innovation.
