Wilcon Depot, the Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supplies retailer, opens its newest store in Carmona, Cavite, on January 23—bringing quality home solutions and construction materials closer to the growing community. The outlet is the latest addition to the existing depot in Naic, General Trias, Bacoor, Silang, Kawit, Paliparan, Tagaytay, and Pala-Pala. Standing as the 9th branch, the store aims to operate with a clear vision for sustainable urban development in the community.

Wilcon executives, Ms. Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, SEVP and COO, and Ms. Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, President and CEO, attended the opening program together with representatives from the LGUs. Ms. Rose inspired Filipino families by affirming the branch’s positive purpose. “We came here with singlemindedness of purpose: to make building better and living better within reach for every Filipino family. Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang mga tahanang tunay na matibay, maganda, at maipagmamalaki dahil ang Wilcon sa inyo ay mag-aalaga, inyong maasahan at mapagkakatiwalaan. ”

As the first Wilcon Depot branch to open in 2026, Ms. Lorraine Belo-Cincochan announced her goal to not only deliver quality products and services for Filipinos but also to strengthen the bond between the store and the community it serves. “January reminds us that it is a time to restart, reset, and rebuild what truly matters. This year we have renewed our commitment to be more caring, dependable, and trustworthy in both the service we give and the products we offer.”

Carmona is recognized as the newest city in the Philippines. Its land is blessed with fertile soil that sustains crops, pastures, and livestock. This abundance provides ample resources for the city’s residents. Within a brief period, Carmona was elevated to a component city status due to the conversion of industrial areas. This led to a range of firms and retail businesses, boosting economic growth.

Hon. Mayor Dahlia A. Layola shared the city’s next move towards implementing a more innovative approach while maintaining green urban growth. “SMART CITY is going to rise here in Carmona… Kailangan hindi maiwan ang mga tao kaya we are creating a place for the people,  kailangan mag develop tayo ng isang inclusive safe and sustainable spaces gaya ng maayos na sidewalks, iyon interconnected lahat, [like] smart waiting shed. In this age of technology, kailangan marami tayong green public spaces.”

Given Carmona’s proximity to Manila and its location along highways and bridges to CALABARZON, building construction and home improvement are vital to neighboring residents. Areas with emerging firms and lodging have a strong demand for plumbing supplies, home furnishings, sanitary ware, tools and hardware, and DIY items. With Wilcon locally available, the delivery and supply of Filipino household items and building materials are more convenient.

In addition, Hon. Layola affirmed the convenience of the new branch to both homeowners and industry professionals, “It [Wilcon Depot Carmona] will make life easier both from our simple home makers in Carmona, mga nagtatayo ng sarili nilang bahay, to those sa mga tao na mag c-create ng business, kasi within reach lang, madali lang mapuntahan. Magiging accessible ang lahat ng mga gamit kaya ang mga business, contractors, at homeowners ay maeenganyo.”

When it comes to city planning and sustainable, green living, Wilcon is committed to producing more innovative products for both customers and the planet. Guided by a sincere goal of continuous improvement, the company offers a comprehensive array of building and practical solutions, thoughtfully designed to provide a lasting, cost-effective path.

Hon. Layola nodded to this balance of innovation and green living, “Smart city pero hindi puwedeng maiiwanan ang pagiging sustainable, kailangan it will go hand in hand. Kumbaga, kung ikaw ay mag v-vertical development, mag iisip ka rin ng maraming green spaces… Gagamit ka ng materials na makakapag conserve ng energy.”

She noted Wilcon’s constant improvement of home and building supplies, which are able to cater to the evolving needs of the community. “Expert kayo diyan [Wilcon], constructions material [retailer] kasi kayo, hindi tayo puwedeng matigil na lamang sa hollow blocks, semento at graba.”
