Silang Celebrates Feast of Our Lady of Candelaria with Leaders and Community United in Faith  

Silang, Cavite — The town of Silang came alive with devotion and festivity as residents celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Candelaria, their revered patroness. The annual event, held every February 2, showcased the community’s deep faith and cultural heritage through solemn masses, grand processions, and vibrant cultural programs.  

The celebration was graced by the presence of key government officials, including Congressman Roy Loyola, Governor Juanito Victor “Abeng” Remulla, Vice Governor Ramon “Ram” Revilla Jr., and Mayor Gented Carranza, along with other local leaders. Their attendance underscored the importance of unity between civic leadership and the faithful, highlighting the role of tradition in strengthening community bonds.  

In their messages, the officials emphasized the value of bayanihan and collective service, encouraging residents to continue working together for a more prosperous and peaceful Silang. They praised the devotion of the people to the Blessed Virgin, noting that faith remains a guiding light in the town’s journey toward progress.  

The feast also served as a cultural showcase, with families, youth groups, and organizations collaborating to prepare decorations, performances, and community activities. This spirit of cooperation reflected the enduring strength of Silang’s traditions, where faith and culture intertwine to inspire hope and resilience.  

As the festivities concluded, the message of the celebration was clear: the Feast of Our Lady of Candelaria is not only a religious occasion but also a symbol of unity, heritage, and shared vision for the future.
