City of Trece Martires Strengthens Early Childhood Care Through Capability Enhancement Training

Trece Martires City Mayor Gemma Buendia Lubigan, together with Vice Mayor Bobby Montehermoso, reaffirmed the local government’s unwavering support for the city’s Child Development Workers and Center Aides during the recently concluded seminar, “Empowering Child Development Worker: Capability Enhancement Training for Child Development Workers and ECCD Checklist Update.”

The training, spearheaded by the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO), aimed to further equip Treceño educators and staff with updated knowledge and skills in nurturing children aged 3 to 4 years old. Mayor Lubigan emphasized that the initiative reflects the city’s commitment to ensuring that every child in Trece Martires receives quality education, proper care, and holistic development.

 Key Highlights of the Training  

– Quality Education: Participants were introduced to the latest teaching and caregiving methods tailored for early childhood learners.  

– ECCD Checklist Updates: New guidelines were presented to support the continued accreditation of Child Development Centers across the city.  

– Health and Nutrition: With the assistance of the City Nutrition Service Division, discussions also focused on proper child nutrition and growth monitoring, underscoring the city’s vision of raising not only intelligent but also healthy Treceño children.  

Mayor Lubigan expressed gratitude to the OCSWDO led by Ms. Nora N. Delos Santos, RSW, together with ECCD Focal Person Ms. Alecsa Lois E. Darvin, RSW, and Ms. Lourdes Perey, for their dedication in successfully implementing the program.  

“Ang ating mga Child Development Workers ay katuwang ng bawat pamilyang Treceño sa paghubog ng susunod na henerasyon. Sa suporta ng lokal na pamahalaan, sisiguraduhin nating angkop, ligtas, at dekalidad ang serbisyong natatanggap ng bawat bata sa ating lungsod,” Mayor Lubigan stated.  

The City Government of Trece Martires continues to prioritize programs that empower educators and strengthen early childhood care, ensuring that the future generation grows with knowledge, health, and values deeply rooted in community support.
