Indang, Cavite — The Municipality of Indang marked another milestone in its commitment to disaster preparedness and emergency response with the official inauguration and turnover of a Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) CY 2024 Incentive Fund Rescue Vehicle on July 30, 2026.
The ceremony was spearheaded by DILG Region IV-A Regional Director Ariel O. Iglesia, together with DILG Cavite Cluster Head Joseph Ryan Geronimo, who formally turned over the rescue vehicle to the local government. Mayor Virgilio F. Fidel graciously accepted the unit on behalf of the municipality, underscoring Indang’s dedication to delivering quality public service and ensuring community resilience.
Also present during the event were DILG Indang MLGOO Anne Kimberly P. Babaan, Project Development Monitoring Unit Engineer Eldrin Tirona, and Indang MDRRMO Rommel Pinpin, who witnessed the historic occasion.
The acquisition of the rescue vehicle was made possible through Indang’s achievement of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) — a prestigious recognition awarded to local governments that exemplify integrity, efficiency, and excellence in governance.
This new addition to Indang’s disaster response assets is expected to significantly enhance the municipality’s capacity to respond to emergencies and natural calamities, paving the way for a safer, stronger, and more prepared community.
