Naic Breaks Ground for First-Ever Convention and Evacuation Center

Naic, Cavite – A historic milestone was reached in the Municipality of Naic as the Local Government, led by Mayor Rommel Magbitang, officially broke ground for the town’s first-ever Convention Center and Evacuation Center in Barangay Timalan Balsahan.

The ceremony was graced by Congresswoman Aniela Tolentino, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and other local officials, underscoring the collaborative effort to bring long-awaited infrastructure to the Naicqueños. The project is envisioned to serve dual purposes: a modern venue for community gatherings, cultural events, and conventions, and a safe haven for residents during calamities and emergencies.

Mayor Magbitang emphasized the significance of the project, noting that it fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the people of Naic:

“Matagal na nating pangarap na magkaroon ng lugar para sa ating mga pagtitipon at masisilungan sa oras ng sakuna. Ngayon, katuwang ang ating mga lider at mga kababayan, natutupad na ang pangarap na ito para sa Batang Naic,” the mayor said.

Congresswoman Tolentino likewise expressed her support, highlighting the importance of infrastructure that not only fosters community development but also strengthens disaster preparedness. The presence of the municipal councilors further reflected the unity of leadership in prioritizing projects that directly benefit the people.
