DSWD Extends Immediate Assistance to Noveleta Residents Affected by Habagat
Noveleta, Cavite – In the wake of the recent onslaught of the southwest monsoon (habagat), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) swiftly responded to the needs of affected families in Noveleta through the distribution of food packs.
This timely intervention was made possible through the coordination efforts of Mayor Davey Reyes Chua, who worked closely with national agencies to ensure that relief reached his constituents without delay. The Presidential Management Staff (PMS), DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, and Congressman Jolo Revilla also played vital roles in facilitating the immediate release and delivery of assistance.
Mayor Chua expressed his gratitude for the rapid mobilization of resources, emphasizing that the welfare of Noveleta residents remains the top priority. “Sa panahon ng sakuna, ang mabilis na pagkilos at pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan ang tunay na nagbibigay pag-asa sa ating mga kababayan,” he said.
The food packs are now being distributed to families most affected by flooding and displacement, ensuring that basic needs are met as recovery efforts continue.
