Relief Assistance Reaches Sea Gate, Brgy. Sahud Ulan

TANZA, Cavite — Families in Sea Gate, Brgy. Sahud Ulan received much-needed relief assistance on August 16, 2026, as the Municipal Government of Tanza, in partnership with Barangay Sahud Ulan, distributed rice to residents affected by recent typhoons and the southwest monsoon (Habagat). 

Mayor Archangelo “SM” Matro personally led the distribution, underscoring the local government’s commitment to providing immediate aid to communities in crisis. He was joined by Councilors Derek Matro, Alexis Dones, Ryan Mintu, and Sheryl Lyn Langit-Gervacio, along with SKF President Patrick Bocalan and Barangay Captain Cedie Murillo. 

Community leaders and volunteers also took part in the initiative, including Kuya Karl Velasco, Kagawad Rey Tubongbanua, Kagawad Van Leynes, Kagawad Alex Dillera, Kagawad Boy Leynes, Micah Grace Cenizal, Ronald Delos Reyes, Allan Alig, and Encar Mendoza. Their collective effort highlighted the bayanihan spirit that continues to thrive in Tanza. 

The relief operation forms part of the municipality’s broader program of #SerbisyoSaMamamayan and #MalasakitSaBayan, ensuring that affected families are not left behind during times of hardship. The distribution of rice was seen as an immediate and practical response to the pressing needs of residents. 

Local officials emphasized that this initiative is only one of many ongoing efforts to support communities across Tanza. With continued collaboration between the municipal government, barangay leaders, and volunteers, residents can expect sustained assistance and proactive measures to strengthen disaster response and recovery.
