Handog ng Pangulo Brings Jobs, Livelihood Programs, and Opportunities to Caviteños in Tagaytay
Tagaytay City, September 14, 2026 – The Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat program transformed the Tagaytay City Velodrome into a hub of public service, delivering employment, livelihood, and social protection opportunities to thousands of Caviteños.
The event opened with an invocation and national anthem, followed by Vice Mayor Agnes D. Tolentino, who welcomed participants and underscored the city’s commitment to inclusive development. Hon. Aniela Tolentino, Member of Congress for the 8th District, expressed strong support for initiatives that directly uplift communities.
Central to the program was the leadership of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, who emphasized the administration’s dedication to strengthening labor initiatives and expanding equitable opportunities for Filipino workers. His presence reinforced DOLE’s mission to bring accessible and sustainable programs closer to the people.
Assistant Regional Director Norman L. Uyvico of DOLE Region 4A highlighted the participation of 48 employers and the distribution of benefits to 3,963 TUPAD beneficiaries amounting to ₱25 million. Director Jeanette T. Damo of the Institute for Labor Studies led the awarding of flagship programs, including:
- TUPAD Program Payout – P8,946,000
- DILP Awarding Ceremony – P6,432,161.01
- DOLE-AMP Awarding – P2,700,000
- Government Internship Program (GIP) – P33,000
- Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) – P230,094
The program also featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Handog ng Pangulo Trabaho Agad Job Fair, symbolizing immediate employment opportunities for jobseekers.
In her closing remarks, Provincial Director Marivic B. Martinez of DOLE Cavite reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to empowering workers, students, and families through sustainable livelihood and employment programs.
This landmark gathering showcased the government’s unified effort led by DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to ensure that serbisyong sapat para sa lahat is realized, bringing jobs, programs, and opportunities directly to Filipino households.
