Trece Martires City Commemorates 130th Death Anniversary of the 13 Martyrs

Trece Martires City solemnly marked the 130th Commemoration of the Death Anniversary of the 13 Martyrs, honoring the courage and sacrifice of the thirteen Caviteño heroes who gave their lives for freedom and left a legacy that continues to inspire generations.

The commemoration was led by 7th District Representative Ping Remulla, together with Board Member Aldrin Anacan, Vice Mayor Bobby Montehermoso, and the members of the 12th Sangguniang Panlungsod. They were joined by the city’s Punong Barangays and Barangay Kagawad, as well as Department Heads, Division Heads, and the entire workforce of the City Government of Trece Martires. A floral offering was held to pay tribute to the martyrs’ heroism, sacrifice, and enduring love for the nation.

“As a city named in their honor, our greatest responsibility is to carry forward the integrity, courage, and spirit of service that the 13 Martyrs embodied through transparent, accountable, and excellent local governance,” the city leadership emphasized during the ceremony.

The program was successfully organized by the Office of the City Tourism Officer, with the support of local officials and residents who came together to keep alive the memory of the martyrs—recognized as the very foundation of Trece Martires City.

This annual commemoration reaffirms the city’s commitment to uphold the values of patriotism and service exemplified by the 13 Martyrs, ensuring that their legacy continues to guide the present and future generations of Treceños.
