Governor Athena Tolentino sworn in as Cavite Chief Executive

In a solemn ceremony attended by family, friends, and fellow public servants, Governor Athena Bryana D. Tolentino officially took her oath as the new Chief Executive of the Province of Cavite on October 8, 2024, at the Hall of Justice in the Legislative Building in Tagaytay City. She was sworn into office by Judge Racquel V. Aspiras-Sanchez, together with Vice Governor Shernan S. Jaro.

Accompanied and supported by Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham Tolentino, Vice Mayor Agnes Tolentino, 8th District representative Aniela Bianca Tolentino, Aizack Brent Tolentino, their families and fellow public servants, Governor Tolentino and Vice Governor Jaro pledged to continue the initiatives launched by former Governor Jonvic C. Remulla following his appointment as the Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government. They expressed their commitment to serve with compassion, determination, and effective leadership to foster a progressive and brighter future for the province.

Governor Tolentino’s appointment marks another historic spot in the political landscape of Cavite, being the first female Governor of the province and the youngest to hold the position at just twenty-five years old.— (FB account-J. Reyes).
