Congressman Jolo Revilla Honors General Emilio Aguinaldo

Cavite First District Representative Jolo Revilla joined local officials, community leaders, and socio-cultural organizations in paying tribute to General Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Philippine Republic, during the flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony commemorating the 62nd anniversary of his passing at the Aguinaldo Shrine.

The solemn event was attended by Vice Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo, members of the Sangguniang Barangay, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines led by Executive Director Carminalda Arevalomuli, and various civic groups. Together, they honored Aguinaldo’s enduring legacy of patriotism and service to the nation.

Congressman Revilla emphasized that Aguinaldo’s values of courage, sacrifice, and love for country remain guiding principles in his own public service. He noted that these ideals continue to inspire Caviteños in building a stronger, united, and progressive community.

“Ang kabayanihan ni Heneral Emilio Aguinaldo ay hindi lamang bahagi ng ating kasaysayan, kundi gabay sa ating kasalukuyan. Bilang kinatawan ng Cavite, tungkulin kong ipagpatuloy ang kanyang pamana ng paglilingkod at pagmamahal sa bayan,” Congressman Revilla stated.

The commemoration served as a reminder of the province’s rich historical heritage and the responsibility of present leaders to uphold the values of freedom and justice that Aguinaldo fought for. (CTJ Team)
