Trece Martires City, Cavite — The City Government of Trece Martires, under the leadership of Mayor Gemma B. Lubigan, continues to strengthen the functionality of Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPC) to ensure the welfare, safety, and rights of every Treceño child.

The initiative, dubbed “BCPCng GUMAGALAW”, focuses on enhancing the capacity of barangay councils to effectively implement child protection programs, promote inclusive community practices, and safeguard children from all forms of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Mayor Gemma B. Lubigan emphasized the shared responsibility of parents, guardians, and the community in protecting children:

> “Ang mga kabataan ang kinabukasan ng ating lungsod. Responsibilidad nating lahat na tiyakin na sila ay ligtas, protektado, at nabibigyan ng pantay na oportunidad upang umunlad.”

Through continuous training, monitoring, and collaboration with local stakeholders, the City Government ensures that BCPCs remain active and responsive to the needs of children. This effort aligns with Trece Martires City’s vision of building a safe, inclusive, and progressive society where every child’s rights are respected and upheld.
