Cavite Flood Mitigation Summit 2026: Rep. Jolo Revilla Leads Coordinated Action Against Flooding
Kawit, Cavite — Cavite 1st District Representative Jolo Revilla spearheaded the Flood Mitigation Summit 2026 held in Kawit, Cavite, in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region IV-A, to address the province’s persistent flooding challenges.
The summit gathered local leaders, technical experts, and stakeholders to discuss Oplan Kontra Baha (OKB) and other strategic measures, including waterway connectivity, dredging operations, clearing of waterways, and strengthening flood control infrastructure.
Rep. Revilla emphasized the importance of a coordinated and unified approach in tackling flooding, particularly in low-lying areas of Cavite that are most vulnerable to heavy rains and rising water levels. “Our goal is to identify priority intervention areas and ensure that our flood mitigation efforts are comprehensive, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of our communities,” Revilla stated.
