Municipality of Kawit Commemorates the 157th Birth Anniversary of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo
Kawit, Cavite — The Municipal Government of Kawit proudly honored today the 157th birth anniversary of the nation’s first President, General Emilio Aguinaldo, fondly remembered as Lolo Miong.
In a solemn ceremony filled with respect and patriotism, Kawiteños gathered to pay tribute to Aguinaldo’s enduring legacy. His leadership and sacrifices during the struggle for independence continue to inspire Filipinos, reminding the nation of the values of courage, unity, and love of country.
Mayor Armie Aguinaldo, together with Cavite Vice Governor Ramon “Ram” Revilla Jr., led the commemoration, underscoring the importance of remembering Aguinaldo’s contributions not only to Kawit but to the entire nation. Mayor Aguinaldo emphasized that the celebration is both a tribute and a call to action: “His life and contributions to our history remain deeply respected, serving as an inspiration for a brighter Kawit and a stronger Philippines.”
Vice Governor Revilla likewise expressed his admiration for Aguinaldo’s legacy, noting that the values of patriotism and service to the people must continue to guide Caviteños and all Filipinos in building a better future.
