General Trias Charts Path to Progress in Historic SOCA 2026 

Mayor Ferrer rallies unity and resilience as city leaders, provincial officials, and national partners pledge support

GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite – Mayor Luis “Jonjon” Ferrer delivered the landmark State of the City Address (SOCA) 2026 before a full assembly of stakeholders, government offices, partner agencies, and representatives from various sectors. The event, held at the newly inaugurated City of General Trias Unity Park & Civic Center, marked a historic milestone as the first major gathering at the venue — a symbol of unity and development for GenTriseños.  

Mayor Ferrer highlighted the city’s accomplishments in the past year and outlined a vision for a safer, more progressive, and sustainable future. He emphasized good governance, inclusive growth, and programs that uplift lives, aligning the city’s priorities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  

Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen and the City Council stood firmly with the mayor, pledging continued legislative support for initiatives in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood. Their presence underscored the strong partnership between the executive and legislative branches in driving local progress.  

The occasion was further dignified by Governor Francisco Gabriel Abeng Remulla, who reaffirmed Cavite’s support for General Trias in regional development efforts. Vice Governor Ram Revilla also joined the assembly, expressing solidarity with the city’s leadership and highlighting Cavite’s united front in advancing local development. Adding prestige, Secretary of the Interior and Local Government (SILG) Remulla attended as Guest of Honor, commending the city’s alignment with national priorities.  

Congressman Antonio Ferrer lent his voice of support, recognizing General Trias as a vital contributor to Cavite’s growth and pledging to champion the city’s interests in Congress.  

Mayor Ferrer closed his address with a resounding call:  

“Let’s join forces for a more progressive City of General Trias. Together, we can build a city that thrives on unity, resilience, and shared success.”
