Imus City Launches “AAksyon Caravan” to Deliver Free Services Directly to Barangays

In a bold move to bring government services closer to the people, the Imus City Government officially launched the “AAksyon Caravan” on September 8, 2025, in Barangay Buhay na Tubig. The initiative, spearheaded by Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula, aims to deliver essential public services directly to barangays, ensuring that every Imuseño has access to medical, legal, and social assistance without having to travel far.

More than a thousand residents benefited from the caravan’s inaugural rollout, receiving free medical consultations, legal aid, and social welfare support. Teams from the City Health Office and Ospital ng Imus provided on-site checkups and distributed medicines, while the City Legal Office offered free legal consultations and notary services. The City Civil Registrar also facilitated complimentary late birth registration services.

The event showcased a collaborative effort between the city government and Cavite 3rd District Representative Adrian Jay “AJ” C. Advincula, whose office provided additional health services such as free dentures, eye consultations, prescription eyeglasses, and cataract surgeries. Support services for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable sectors were also extended through various city offices.

Mayor Advincula personally engaged with residents during a People’s Day session, listening to concerns and addressing community needs on the spot. He emphasized that the AAksyon Caravan is part of a broader commitment to participatory governance, where citizens are not just recipients but active partners in shaping local development.

The caravan is set to visit more barangays in the coming months, continuing its mission to make government services more accessible and inclusive. By bringing City Hall to the grassroots level, the Imus LGU reinforces its dedication to empowering communities and ensuring that no Imuseño is left behind.

This initiative reflects a growing trend in local governance—one that prioritizes proximity, responsiveness, and meaningful engagement with constituents. The AAksyon Caravan stands as a testament to Imus City’s evolving approach to public service: mobile, hands-on, and deeply rooted in the needs of its people.
