Dasmariñas Honors Cultural Brilliance at Paruparo Festival Streetdance Competition 2025
Dasmariñas City, Cavite — The City of Dasmariñas came alive with color, rhythm, and cultural pride during the much-anticipated awarding ceremony of the Paruparo Festival Streetdance Competition 2025, held at the City of Dasmariñas Arena. The event showcased the vibrant spirit, creativity, and unity of the Dasmarineño community through electrifying performances that paid homage to the city’s rich heritage and the symbolic paruparo (butterfly).
Mayor Jenny Barzaga, in her keynote message, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, educators, choreographers, and supporters who made this year’s competition a resounding success. “The Paruparo Festival is more than just a celebration—it is a testament to our identity, resilience, and the boundless talent of our youth. Congratulations to all the performers who brought our culture to life with such passion and artistry,” she said.
Vice Mayor “Third” Barzaga also commended the dedication and hard work of the competing groups. “Every beat, every step, and every costume tells a story of who we are as Dasmarineños. This festival is a powerful reminder of our unity and creativity,” he shared.

– 1st Runner-up: FCD Senior High School
