General Trias Formulates Local Development Plan for Children; Mayor Jonjon Ferrer and Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen Lead Initiative

General Trias, Cavite — The City of General Trias has taken a significant step toward strengthening child protection and youth development with the formulation of the Local Development Plan for Children (LDPC). This comprehensive plan aims to ensure that the needs of GenTriseño children are addressed in education, health, and mental well-being, while also amplifying their voices in the policymaking process.

Mayor Jonjon Ferrer emphasized the importance of building inclusive programs that safeguard children’s welfare.

Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen echoed this sentiment, stressing the value of collaboration among local departments and youth representatives.

The initiative brings together various city departments, educators, health professionals, and youth leaders to craft policies and programs that prioritize children’s safety, education, and mental health. By institutionalizing the LDPC, General Trias strengthens its vision of #AlagangGenTri and demonstrates good governance rooted in compassion and inclusivity.

This milestone underscores the city’s call to action: #LetsJoinForces for child protection and youth development in General Trias  ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.
