Cavite Leaders Unite in Fruitful Dialogue on Housing and Land Reform

In a significant move toward strengthening inter-agency collaboration, key officials from national and local government agencies convened in a productive meeting with stakeholders in Cavite, led by Congressman Roy Loyola, Governor Jonvic Remulla, PGC, SILG Jonvic Remulla, and Mayor Jenny Austria Barzaga. The dialogue centered on critical issues concerning housing development, land reform, and local governance coordination.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DSHUD), the National Housing Authority (NHA), and the Land Registration Authority (LRA)—three instrumental agencies involved in addressing the housing backlog and streamlining land titling processes in the province. This multi-sectoral discussion reflects the collective commitment of government leaders to deliver accessible, affordable, and sustainable housing solutions to Caviteños.

Among the key agenda items were the acceleration of land title processing, improved settlement planning, and strengthened local implementation of national housing programs. Congressman Roy Loyola, representing the 5th District, emphasized the need to ensure that land reform and housing services reach the grassroots efficiently, especially in rapidly urbanizing areas like Dasmariñas.

Governor Jonvic Remulla echoed the urgency of providing long-term, strategic frameworks to manage Cavite’s growing population and increasing demand for shelter. He underscored the value of aligning provincial development plans with the resources and technical support of national agencies. Meanwhile, Mayor Jenny Austria Barzaga reaffirmed her administration’s openness to partnerships that enhance public services and uphold the welfare of Dasmariñas residents.

The DSHUD, NHA, and LRA officials expressed their readiness to coordinate closely with local units and fast-track programs that directly benefit constituents. With the support of Cavite’s political leaders and agencies, the collaboration is expected to produce concrete outcomes—such as land tenure security, socialized housing expansion, and improved public infrastructure in resettlement areas.

This high-level meeting concluded on a hopeful note, with all stakeholders expressing their dedication to sustained engagement and solution-oriented governance. As Cavite continues to rise as a regional development hub, unified efforts such as these demonstrate the power of cooperation in building stronger communities and ensuring inclusive growth for all.( CTJ REPORTORIAL TEAM)
