Bacoor Welcomes Home Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma

The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, proudly welcomed back its very own Ms. Joy Barcoma, crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2025, in a grand homecoming ceremony held on August 18, 2025, at the Strike Gymnasium. Organized by the Bacoor City Culture, History, Arts and Tourism Department led by Mr. Edwin Guinto, in partnership with the City Information and Community Relations Department (CICRD) headed by Ms. Kristine Evangelista, the event was a celebration of pride, unity, and environmental advocacy.

The program began with a solemn Flag Raising Ceremony, where Ms. Barcoma waved the Philippine flag with pride, surrounded by Mayor Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, and enthusiastic Bacooreños. In her heartfelt message, Ms. Barcoma expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of her hometown and emphasized how honored she is to represent Bacoor and the Philippines on the international stage. She called on the community to rally behind her as she prepares for the Miss Earth 2025 Finals on November 5, 2025, at Okada Manila Hotel.

Ms. Barcoma also highlighted her core advocacies—climate action, sustainable living, and environmental awareness—which she champions as Miss Philippines Earth. Her message resonated with Bacoor’s ongoing commitment to ecological responsibility, a cause strongly supported by Mayor Revilla and the city government. The event served as a platform to inspire residents to take part in meaningful environmental initiatives and support local champions like Ms. Barcoma.

Following the ceremony, a press conference was held at Strike TV Studio, where Mayor Revilla and Ms. Barcoma discussed Bacoor’s environmental programs, including mangrove (bakawan) planting, tree planting, and community education on eco-friendly practices. Members of the media engaged with Ms. Barcoma about her preparations for the international pageant and her environmental mission, which she answered with passion and clarity. Mayor Revilla reaffirmed the city’s commitment to sustainability and praised Ms. Barcoma for being a role model for the youth.
