Mayor Alex Advincula Joins Nationwide Classroom Building Initiative for Quality Education

Imus City, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd), together with the League of Cities of the Philippines and partner local government units, has formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Nationwide Classroom Building Initiative, a flagship program under “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Bayan Makikinabang.”  

The initiative, launched at the Malacañang Palace, seeks to address classroom shortages across the country by constructing durable, modern, and learner-friendly facilities. This effort underscores the government’s vision of equitable access to quality education for all Filipino children.  

Mayor Advincula’s Commitment

Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula expressed his full support for the program, emphasizing the importance of investing in education infrastructure as a foundation for long-term progress.  

> “Matatag na silid-aralan ang susi sa matatag na kinabukasan. Sa pamamagitan ng proyektong ito, masisiguro natin na bawat batang Imuseño ay may ligtas at maayos na lugar upang matuto at magtagumpay,” Mayor Advincula stated.  

He further noted that the initiative is not only about building classrooms but also about strengthening communities by empowering the youth through education.

– League of Cities of the Philippines: Facilitates coordination among local governments to guarantee that every city benefits from the program.
