Imus City Ushers October with Flag-Raising Ceremony and Honors Local Leadership
Imus City officials and residents gathered on Monday, October 6, 2025, for a lively flag-raising ceremony to welcome the new month with renewed patriotism and community spirit. The event highlighted the city’s progress and commitment to public service under the leadership of Mayor Alex “AA” L. Advincula.
Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, principal author and sponsor of the Universal Health Care Law, delivered a compelling keynote address. He underscored his dedication to expanding healthcare services nationwide, working closely with PhilHealth to ensure broader access and better health outcomes for Filipinos.
In his speech, Senator Ejercito also praised Mayor Advincula’s leadership, citing the impressive development and modernization of Imus. The senator warmly acknowledged his family’s roots in the city, emphasizing a deep connection to the local community.
Mayor Advincula was recognized during the ceremony with a Plaque of Appreciation, honoring him as one of the Most Outstanding Local Chief Executives – Deputized Officers by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM). This accolade reflects his dedication to both public safety and community welfare.
The flag-raising was led by the Office of the City Legal Officer, in partnership with the Imus Police. The program featured April Manabat as the host and Jeanelle Vinluan leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the Oath of Public Servants.
The event was solemnized with a prayer and blessing from Rev. Fr. Manny Villas, who invoked guidance and strength for the month ahead.
