Bakuna Eskwela 2025 Rolls Out in Cavite City: Mayor Denver Chua Champions Student Health Drive
Cavite City has officially launched its annual school-based immunization campaign, Bakuna Eskwela 2025, targeting students in Grade 1, Grade 7, and female Grade 4 pupils. The initiative, spearheaded by the City Health Office in partnership with the Department of Education, aims to shield young learners from vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria, and the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is linked to cervical cancer.
Mayor Denver Chua, known for his proactive leadership in public health and education, expressed full support for the campaign, emphasizing its role in building a healthier and more resilient Cavite City. “Vaccination is not just a medical intervention—it’s a community commitment to safeguarding our children’s future,” Chua said, echoing the city’s rallying cry: Pag may bakuna ka, may dagdag proteksyon ka!.
Orientation sessions have already begun across public schools, engaging principals, advisers, parents, and guardians to ensure smooth implementation and informed participation. The City Health Office has laid out clear schedules and procedures, preparing schools and students for the vaccination days ahead.
Thousands of students are expected to benefit from the program, which aligns with the Department of Health’s broader goal of immunizing five million children nationwide through the Bakuna Eskwela campaign. The inclusion of HPV vaccines for Grade 4 girls marks a significant step in preventive care, aiming to reduce future cases of cervical cancer among Filipino women.
As Cavite City continues to earn accolades for good governance and public service, Bakuna Eskwela 2025 stands as another testament to Mayor Chua’s commitment to inclusive health programs. With the support of local stakeholders and the enthusiasm of the community, the city moves forward toward a safer, healthier future for its youth.
